ALBUM LAUNCH EVENT - HOUSE OF HATS AND CARRIE TREE 2014
ROLE - EVENT COORDINATOR
With the brief to bring the feel of a summer festival inside, I coordinated the launch event for both bands albums, transforming the inside of the 400 + capacity Brighton Komedia, into a wonderland of performing artists and music. Jugglers, Acrobats, roaming Magicians and a Whirling Dervish were among the 10 additional acts performing throughout the evening, setting the scene for the launch of both highly praised albums to be performed live by both bands.
The show completely sold-out with cues forming down the street for the hope of remaining tickets.
A special mention goes out so Natalie Edge of 'Saints of the Lot' as well as 'Cafe an Salvage' for their time and resources and Photographer Luke Starkey.

"House Of Hats and Carrie Tree offer up “the essence of a summer festival indoors” at the Komedia. With the venue made-over to summon that summer feeling, both acts launch new albums before heading off on tour together."

THE HARVEST SESSIONS 2012 - 2014
ROLE - CO-FOUNDER & EVENT COORDINATOR
The Harvest Sessions was an intimate listening event, held quarterly between two venues in Brighton UK, the 'Brunswick' and the ‘Komedia’.
The night was started by Brighton based band House of Hats, to showcase the finest Singer Songwriters and acoustic bands. The aim was to create a regular event in their home town, where they could perform and invite artists met on the road to showcase their talent to their existing fan base.
The Harvest Sessions proved to be a consistent success with its string of sold-out shows including the 400+ capacity of the renowned Brighton 'Komedia', with cues down the street hoping to secure the last remaining door tickets.
Some of the best highlights include an incredible acoustic performance from friends Will and The People, an introduction to the beautiful and exceptionally talented Cordelia Gartside, as well as breath taking performances from Luke Sital, Emily Baker, Roo Panes, Conrad Vingoe, Indigo Earth, David Mumford, Standard Lamps and Kat Rose.
“The Harvest Sessions is a monthly affair put on by the band where they invite other people they’ve worked with onto the bill to share them with their audience…It’s great to see a band who are working so hard and seem to be on track for big things also remembering the people they have worked with along the way.”

“The monthly night at The Brunswick… became so popular that when the group came to release their debut album, they were able to take over Komedia. Now, thanks to a busy schedule, the Harvest Sessions is a quarterly event with a permanent slot at Komedia, with alternate shows at The Brunswick.”
